We launched the Czech internet’s largest bookstore www.kosmas.cz

The Kosmas company launched the new version of their on-line bookstore www.kosmas.cz. Because of very specific functional requirements  and complex system integration requirements Kosmas decided not to go for an “out of the box” solution but they opted for custom development solution.

The main requirements for the new e-shop platform  were:

• Modern design
• The system must be built on the Microsoft.net platform with MS SQL server
• Quality full text search
• Integration into current company infrastructure
• The possibility to integrate a Content Server for e-books sales

Kosmas made two tenders:

• One for the graphical design that was won by the Symbio internet agency
• One for end to end system development that was won by us

The whole solution has been built on the modern Microsft ASP.Net MVC framework with the utilizitaion on the Entity Framework technology for MS SQL 2008 connectivity. The development platform has been enhanced by the LinkSoft extension for entity framework 4 and ASP.Net MVC.   Full-text search is handled by Lucene/SOLR.net.
